Important 1: Sengled Zigbee lights communicate with Google devices via compatible Zigbee hubs and Wi-Fi Bulbs connect directly to Google Home devices.

Important 2: The following instructions show how to integrate the bulbs that are already set up in your Sengled Home app.

Now follow the steps below to pair your Sengled lamps with Google Home:

  1. Launch the Google Home app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the “+” icon on the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Select “Set up device”, then tap on “Works with Google”.
  4. On the search bar search for Sengled, then choose “Sengled Home”.
  5. Another screen will appear to login to your Sengled Home accout (Use the same login credentials that are associated with your Sengled Home app).
  6. Once the account is linked, you will be redirected to the “Choose device” page.
  7. Choose the Sengled bulb you want to add, then tap on Next.
  8. Select the room to which you would like to assign the bulb and then tap Next (put the bulb in the same room if you want them to act as a group).
    .Repeat this process until all of your bulbs are organized in the Google Home app.

After that you can go and deactivate the Do Not Disturb mode in order to receive notifications on your smart speaker, display, or mobile phones, and here’s how to do it:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Launch the Google Home app.
  3. Choose your speaker or display.
  4. Go to Settings and choose Notifications & digital wellbeing, then Do not disturb.
  5. Turn Do not disturb off.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Choose the Sengled bulb you want to edit.
  3. At the top right corner, tap Settings.
  4. Then Device information and then Device name.
  5. Enter a new name and tap Save.

Note: Make sure to give a simple name to your lamps without special characters or an emoji to make it easier for the voice assistant to identify.

Routines can also be created on the Google Home app Profile > More Settings > Assistant > Routines. Add a routine by setting the command phrase, schedule if you like, then set what your devices should do under ‘add action’.

Google Home voice commands to use with your Sengled bulbs.

As we mentioned before control your bulbs through your Google voice assistant you need to memorize some voice commands and use them when you want to change the color, adjust the brightness or turn the lights ON and OFF.

Here are the commands that you need to know:

  1. “Google, set (bulb’s name) to (0-100) percent.”
  2. “Okay Google, set (group’s name) to (0-100) percent.”
  3. “Hey Google, turn (bulb’s name) on/off.”
  4. “Okay Google, turn (group’s name)on/off.”
  5. “Google, set (bulb’s name) to green.”
  6. “Hey Google, set (group’s name) to pink.”
  7. “Google, turn on (bulb’s name/group’s name) and make the color blue.”

Maybe some people will not find the Google Home integration as an interesting feature and they want to unlink their bulbs for the Google app and continue using them from the Sengled app without the voice feature.

So here are the steps to follow in order to unlink your Sengled bulb from the Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap on the “+” icon at the top left corner.
  3. Select Set up a device, then choose “Works with Google”.
  4. On the account listed press “Sengled Home” and select Unlink account.
  5. A popup message will appear, tap on Unlink.

Now all your Sengled devices are deleted from the Google Home app and if you want to add them again you need to follow the steps I showed you in this article.
