Here’s how to add a new member to control your thermostat in the Nest app:

  1. Go to the Nest app and login into your account.
  2. Go to the settings.
  3. Tap on “Family & Guests”.
  4. Then tap the “+” button that means “Add a person”.
  5. Enter the email address of this person or add it directly from your contact.
  6. Tap the “Send invitation” button.

And follow these steps to share it if you’re using the Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. log in to your account.
  3. Tap the “+” icon at the top left corner of the screen.
  4. Click on Invite home member.
  5. Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
  6. Another screen will appear scroll down to review which devices are shared and tap Send Invite.

  2. On the home screen, tap on your pending invitation.

  5. Review what’s shared when you join a home and then tap Agree.
  6. Create a nickname for the home and tap Next.
