Solution 1: Power Cycle The Robot.
The first step I recommend to solve the Deebot charging issue is to power cycle the robot. This process may seem basic, but its benefits are great.
Power cycling essentially allows your Deebot to clear temporary glitches that may be causing your charging problem.
To implement this solution, follow these simple instructions:
- Locate the main power button on the bottom of your robot (newer ones have them on the side).
- Turn it off and wait a few seconds to ensure complete shutdown.
- Then turn it back on again.
Solution 2: Clean The Charging Pins.
Your Deebot robot vacuum relies on metal contact plates on the robot that are precisely aligned with metal pins on the charging base to transfer power and charge the battery.
Over time, dirt and dust can build up on these pins and disrupt power transmission, causing charging problems.
To prevent this problem, make it a habit to clean these pins regularly. A soft microfiber cloth is your best friend for this task, ensuring gentle and effective cleaning without risking any scratches.

- Select “About DEEBOT“, then tap on ”Update DEEBOT“.

The only thing I hate about this solution is that it will delete all the settings and preferences inside your gadget and you’ll have to set it from the beginning.
Here’s how to perform a hard reset:
- Turn the ECOVACS DEEBOT turning on the power switch.
- Once the DEEBOT is on, press the reset button located next to the power button for more than 6 seconds until there’s a sound coming out.
- Once you hear the beep sound 3 times from the device, the DEEBOT has been reset.
- Congratulations, your ECOVACS DEEBOT has been reset.
Solution 6: Replace The battery and The Charging Dock.
The Ecovacs Deebot vacuum cleaner runs on a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery which, according to the company, can last 100 to 200 minutes depending on the model you have.
Over time and with many repetitive charging cycles, the battery will run out and you will need to replace it with a new one to continue operating your robot.
So, when you notice that your robot is frequently facing charging issues and your battery has been working for a long time, make sure to replace it with a new one and then test your vacuum cleaner again.
The same goes for the charging station, as it can be damaged by a sudden high electrical surge that affects its internal components, causing it to stop supplying power to your robot’s battery.
